Edinburgh Seaside Gin encapsulates the wonder of the shoreline near Edinburgh. This softly sweet, mineralistic London Dry uses botanicals that were foraged on beaches around Edinburgh. Bladderwrack seaweed, scurvygrass and ground ivy make this gin reminiscent of a bracing walk on a Scottish beach.
Launched in 2015, Seaside was the result of a collaboration with the team at the International Centre for Brewing & Distilling at Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh – bringing together the expertise of our Head Distiller while helping nurture a new generation of gin innovators.
The culmination of this project is an extraordinary gin that has a fresh sweetness on the nose, characterised by soft salinity and herbaceous, grassy notes on the palate, followed by a clean finish.
Pair with tonic or shake as a martini... we enjoy ours with a slice of grapefruit or with a sprig of crisp, salty samphire.
