The winter of 2015 was cool and dry, followed by a warmer spring with little rainfall. Very mild weather in May brought on the vines quickly and flowering took place in the best possible conditions in early June. Ideal summer weather combined with appropriate action in the vineyard and the expertise of Baron Philippe de Rothschild's winemakers ensured a very good vintage. The red wines show full-fruited Merlots, true to the Bordeaux tradition, and highly refined and very expressive Cabernets
Monitoring of the vineyard and harvest combined with advances in the winemaking and maturing processes have made the wines rounder, smoother and more supple, enriched their texture and given them toasted notes, while keeping the ripe red fruit aromas typical of Mouton Cadet.
