Budding began in the first weeks of April, and the summer was marked by a number of well-distributed rainfalls. Tasting Notes Pietraregia 2014 is ruby ed with crimson highlights. To the nose, the wine expresses the ripe fruit notes of plums with a nuance of blackcurrant and floral violets that give way to a spiced and balsamic finish. In the mouth, the wine has elegantly structured and dense tannins accompanied by a marked acidity that allows the fresh and balsamic bouquet to come through. The wine’s finish is rich in toasted notes with a sweet and persistent aftertaste.
