Marqués de Riscal Rueda
Bodegas de los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal SL has 220 hectares of vineyards with an average of 25 years, dedicated, among others, to the plantation of the autochthonous Verdejo variety. Versatile grape, with great character and personality, is very well adapted to the extreme conditions of the area, which allows the production of fresh white wines or fermented in barrel. Once the alcoholic fermentation is finished, the wine remains in contact with the lees in a stainless steel tank for 1 to 2 months. The lees that are deposited in the bottom of the tank move weekly with nitrogen (battonnage). After a time of maturation, the wine will be bottled between the months of January and March following the harvest.

Tasting Notes
Bright, straw-yellow colour. As you expect from the Verdejo variety, the wine shows high aromatic intensity on the nose, with aromas of tropical fruit and also hints of fennel and fresh grass. Fresh yet smooth on the palate with a slightly bitter finish which is typical of the variety, giving it a long, pleasant finish. Overall it can be enjoyed as a fresh, balanced wine.
